Information you choose to share

Inquiries and newsletter requests

When you send an availability inquiry, the website collects the information you enter, such as your name, email address, phone number, preferred dates, group size, occasion, and optional notes. We use it to review availability, respond to your questions, discuss a possible stay, and maintain appropriate business records.

When you request Island Journal or seasonal emails, we use the information you provide to manage that request and communicate with you. Grey Cloud Island does not sell information submitted through these forms.

Website measurement

Google Analytics and cookies

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how the public website is used. It can collect page views, engagement time, scrolling, referral information, broad device and browser details, approximate general location, and interactions such as gallery views, video starts, booking-platform clicks, newsletter signups, and successful inquiry submissions.

Our Analytics implementation does not send names, email addresses, phone numbers, messages, selected dates, guest details, or other form contents to Google. Google Signals and advertising-personalization features are disabled.

Google Analytics may use cookies or similar identifiers. Learn more about how Google uses information from sites that use its services. You can also use the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on or adjust your browser’s cookie controls.

Service providers and links

How information is handled

We use service providers, including Microsoft Azure and Google Analytics, to operate and secure the website. Information may be processed by those providers for the services they perform for us. We may also preserve or disclose information when reasonably necessary to protect the website, address misuse, comply with legal obligations, or establish and maintain business records.

Links to Airbnb, Vrbo, Google, and other external services lead to websites with their own privacy practices. YouTube content on this site uses its privacy-enhanced domain and loads only after a visitor presses play.

Retention and security

Reasonable safeguards

We retain submitted information for as long as reasonably useful for responding, managing prospective or completed stays, maintaining business records, and meeting legal obligations. Analytics information follows the retention settings of the Grey Cloud Island Google Analytics property.

We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards, but no internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure.
